This article confirms the stylistic rules and layout of Gaiyucongkao and Rizhilu has something in common. It explains this point from the four factors:the background, content, the source of document and the similarities and differences of the opinions.Comparing the two authors'living condition and creation background, this article points out the two authors'times background, family and the goals are very different, which causes the historical missions of the two books are very different, too. The former is aimed at administering state affairs; the latter is aimed at textual research.As for the content, this article points out the two books have both merits and shortcomings. In the study of Confucian classics, Congkao shows decided superiority over Rizhilu. As for the comprehensive textual research, the latter shows decided superiority over the former.As for the quotation of classics, this article points out, though the quotation of the latter is more extensive than the former, the quotation of the former is familiar to people, which provides a lot of convenience to the descendents. And the former could find out new problems that other people have not realized in the ordinary document.This article analyses each quotation of Congkao from Rizhilu, and points out the former evaluates the latter's opinions on the basic of the truth and evidence. This article considers ZhaoYi truly imitates and copies Rizhilu. But ZhaoYi doesn't mean copying. On the basic of imitation, he shows unique historical view, not just pure imitation. In a word, Congkao is the continuation and development of previous Rizhilu.In conclusion, this article thinks though Congkao has weak influence compared with Rizhilu, its whole quality is also excellent. ZhaoYi applys conclusion, comparison and demonstration to create it, providing this wonderful masterpiece to the readers.
