Abstract: Luciano Pavarotti, hailed as King of the High C's, was one of the most commercially successful tenors of all time, for his remarkable ability to hit and sing the heck out of one of the highest notes of the tenor voice. Pavarotti's voice is a bright sound which is particularly thrilling at the top of the voice. The brilliance of his voice processes incomparable natural quality. He won many Grammy awards and platinum and gold discs for his performances. He once received the honor from Kennedy Center Honors. He also holds two Guinness World Records: one for receiving the most curtain calls 165 times and another for the best-selling classical album in Roman Concert by The Three Tenors in 1990. Because of his absolute summit of technique, So Pavarotti becomes the imitational model of an enormous number of tenors. It is important to master his performance of voicing and to understand his comprehension about art for those who want to make their sing ability to improve. In regard to these above, the purpose of this article wants to analyze and synthesize the characteristics of Pavarotti's vocal performance by three aspects: The first the open degree of sound area is very high, the transitions from one sound area to another is very natural. The second the ability to control the tone of voice is very great. The third inheriting noble tradition as well as advancing with the times, his individual style has identified with popular culture and been recognized by the opera -going public.
