Ligeti (Gyorgy Ligeti, 1923-2006) Hungarian musician, he is one of representative of modern music of 20th century Ligeti is a unique composer, he composed many innovative technical concepts, his works out of the previous constraints of traditional compositional techniques, his "micro-polyphony" theory has been widely used in his early works, this theory influence many future composers's compositional techniques. Ligeti's composition has experienced three periods: the first is to use the early tonal music folk songs in Romania, followed by micro-polyphonic composition techniques, and finally developed into polyphony rhythm composition techniques. "Ligeti Piano Etudes " Book 1 No.4"Fanfares"is the object of analysis in this paper. This paper from the notation, counterpoint, harmony, tonality, pedal use, etc., to analyze the etudes, and pointed out the solutions of some difficulties in performing. Ligeti's Piano Etudes made new demands of the player's finger tips and the use of pedals, so we should use new methods and ideas to practice and deal with music, and grasp Ligeti's Work.
