Perfectionism is described as the "trenchant requirement" (Horney,1950) and "comparing with the reality, they ask themselves or other ones for a higher standard of work" (Hollender,1965). It is one's kind of steady characteristic, as well as a jarless mode of thinking in different situations. Actually, it becomes a research area that the psychologists have interest in. This thesis is probing into the relationship between the teachers and students' perfectionism and self-efficiency feeling during learning and their mental health. And it surveys more than 600 normal students in partial colleges and universities in Sichuan Province by The Chinese Version of Mental Inventory of Frost's Perfectionism, The Mental Inventory of Self-efficiency Feeling during Learning, and The Mental Inventory of Self- assessment of Mental Health Symptom SCL-90. According to the statistical data, it draws the conclusion below:1. On the whole, the normal students get a tendency of perfectionism better than the average and an upper self-efficiency feeling during learning. Whereas their mental health level is lower and allowed of no optimist.2. Sex and grade are factors which influence the level of normal students'mental tendency of perfectionism and their mental health.3. There are remarkable relationships among the normal students'perfectionism and their self-efficiency feeling during learning and mental health. Actually the 3 factors are interacting.
