The Mao Zonggang Novel Critique Areas Of Research

This thesis takes Mao Zonggang and his criticism of the novel Three Kingdoms as research subjects. Through analysis of the aesthetic used in the criticism, this thesis tries to build a category system of Mao's novel theory and restore the problems that exist in the novel area in Mao's era. This thesis also explores the background and history of Mao's category system.The first part of thesis is "Introduction", which is Review of the Research status of this area. "Introduction" also includes the explanation of the idea of this paper. The second part analyses many categories which includes "Structure" and "Guan mu","Echo","Ambush","Correspondence","Guest"and"Host","Close-up","Spare Description", "Ways of narrate", "Vacuity" and "Repletion", "Avoid" and "Offend". The third part analyses the problems that exist in the novel area in Mao's era, which includes the status of novel, the plate-like structure and the repeating of the plots. The fourth part analyses the origin of Mao's aesthetic categories, including the relationship with the Ming Dynasty's prose, the relationship with Jin Shentan and the relationship with the Eight-part essays.
