Shi Tiesheng is a legendary and thoughtful contemporary writer. Being physical suffering is the starting point of his writing career. The theme of his prose is based on his rethinking of the difficulties of being alive, the value of taking sufferings and the meaning of life after experiencing physical sufferings by himself. He finds solutions to resolve those problems of life, obtaining self-atonement and sublimation finally, in his writing, which composes his proses' subject implication.This paper consists of three parts, including introduction, body and conclusion. The introduction part states the research status of the subject and its meaning.Chapter one centers on dilemma. It interprets the universalistic dilemma of human beings:loneliness, lust and death by showing Shi's living dilemma and mental desperateness which come from his disability.Chapter two unscrambles the process of the writer's change of thought. He explores a way to walk away from the dilemma of living—writing. After a hard period of time of longing death to end the tragic life, he understands that the truth of being alive is self-atonement by achieving which he seeks help from religion. Shi believes that deep and selfless love is the source of self-atonement and the philosophy of process value deepens the meaning of being exist.Chapter three from he sees its spirit prose sublimation. This chapter discusses mainly in prose writing, he from seeking the meaning of life, life and life is full of wisdom and ultimate care philosophical thinking of the aspects of the spirit have reflected the sublimation of the transcendence and personality, and sums up the works in contemporary literary world he the value and meaning.The conclusion part summarizes the paper and reaffirms the main points.
