Deformation, which is widely used in the field of literary and artistic creation, is a general arctic rule. For literary writings, "deformation" means the writers greatly mobilize their imagination and creativity in their design, and it violates the traditional way in creating images.Chuang-Tzu is the first master on deformation art in ancient Chinese literature and he reaches very high artistic attainments. In his prose, there are exaggerative deformed figures which break the physical prescription, and transcend the "reification" deformation image and realistic myth. Meanwhile, these figures transcend the deformation image between man and god, and deformation image of dramatic historical figures. These deformation artistic images are mostly absurd and unusual, but all contains strong philosophical implication. Each kind of literary phenomenon is based on a complex cultural background. Chuang-Tzu's creation is no exception. Chuang-Tzu's works reveals the unique style of Chu culture which combines the features of boldness and unrestraint, magic and romance, profoundness and vastness, infection and gorgeousness together. Chu culture does not only offer the source of Chu literature but also has a deep influence on the deformed art in the book of Chuang-Tzu.Chuang-Tzu's artistic image of Deformation showed the artistic feature which aims to experience and understand Dao, followed the way of illusory imagine, and took curious as its style. Chuang-Tzu's deformations art has far an effect on Chinese literature. Whether in writing prose or in creating fiction or in producing poem, many writers or poets in various dynasties all consciously drew experience from Chuang-Tzu's deformation art, with the result that there have been large quantities of excellent literary works.
