This article is on dialect. With 118 words it makes a supplement to Chinese Dialect Dictionary.57 of them are in the appendix, the rest in the body. All words are selected from Linchuan dialect. Linchuan is a city in Jiangxi Province of East China and Linchuan dialect is one part of Gan dialect. The 61 words in the body are ancient words in Linchuan dialect and are differentiated in three types as their special detail use. First type is words that the dictionary does not have; second is words whose alternative meaning is missed in the dictionary; third is words whose dialect distribution is missed in the dictionary. The 57 words in the appendix exists there is because of uncertainty. There still needs some more evidences to draw a determined conclusion that they are quite ancient words reserved today in Linchuan dialect.
