He Lin was a famous philosopher and one of the important exponents of new Confucianism in Chinese modern history. His knowledge expanding to cover both the East and the West, he deemed it his duty to revitalize the national culture and established the ideological system of new Confucianism, the core of which was the new philosophy of the mind.
