Confucianism Spread Eastward And Ancient Japan

After Confucianism was preached to the east as far as Japan,Japan chose to suck it actively,thus it began to take root in Japan land and eventually formed the unique Japanese Confucianism. Confucianism was introduced to Japan and infiltrated in every area of society.It has the significant influence on the development of ancient Japanese society.In this papper,the east spread of Confucianism,its influence on the ancient Japan and the related problems are discussed.Firstly,it briefly states the east preach of the Confucianism and its development in ancient Japan.The spread of Confucianism in ancient Japan can be roughly divided into four phases:Early period(5-8century),development period(794-1603),flourishing period (1603-1867) and decline period (later Edo age).During the boom of Confucianism in Japan, different Confucianism schools were formed and academic debate was launched.Secondly,taking Japanese Confucianism in the early and the booming stage as an example,the paper compares and analyzes the similarities and differences between Japan and China.After the Confucianism reached Japan,the Japanese nation adopted a selective trade-offs and renovation of Confucianism according to its actual situation.So lots of differences are existed between Chinese and Japanese Confucianism.In the early Confucianism,it mainly compares the similarities and differences between the right view,benevolence,loyalty,filial piety.Japanese Confucianism would agree "monarchy granted"thoughts,but Japan weakened the "virtuous person for king"thought.The core of Chinese Confucianism is benevolence,while the Japanese Confucianism excluded the ideas of benevolence from its ideological system.With its premise is nuts.The loyalty of Chinese Confucianism is conditional,while Japan Confucianism loyalty is mandatory,unilateral and has no premise condition.On the aspect of filial piety,Chinese Confucianism proclaims that filial piety is based on loyalty,and loyalty,but Japanese Confucianism focuses on loyalty,proclaiming loyalty outweighs filial piety.In Japan,the boom of Confucianism mainly compares Sino-Japanese Yangming with the upcoming zhu-zi:Japanese Confucianism boldly doubted and corrected the upcoming zhu-zi,and formed the unique upcoming zhu-zi with Japanese characteristics,thus maked the Japanese nation more practical and scientific;The basic point between the yangming cardinally identical,what is different is that Japan Yang scholars Reconstituted and developed the theory of heart body,and the development of the thought,ect.Again,ancient Japanese Confucianism features are:Japanese Confucianism focuses on epistemology of sensory experiences,facts,phenomenon and empirical research;Ethically,the Japanese Confucianism has more emotional color, extensive coexistence, practically, Civilianization and evident religious characteristics.Those different characteristics of Japanese Confucianism above helps Japanese Confucianism to be better adapted to and pomote the development of ancient Japanese society.Finally,it discusses the influence of Confucianism on ancient Janpan from five aspects: Politically,the Chinese ancient Confucianism provides political philosophy for the formation and development of the TianHuangZhi country;In law,Japan's feudal law basically belongs to the category of the Chinese legal system,saturated with Confucianism;In education, Confucianism has produced important influence on education policy,education leadership institutions,schools' teaching contents and private education of Japan.In the bushido,the Confucian loyalty, benevolence Righteousness, and courtesy,then become the warrior's guiding ideology;In the practice of historical aspects,the Confucian view, such as history and orthodox ideas manner also have influences on the Japanese historical thinking.Anyhow,Confucianism have had significant effect from different angels,on ancient Japanese politics,law,education,such as bushido and history and promoted the development of ancient Japanese society.
