Northern Song Dynasty Before The Mid-private Repair Historical Outline

This paper is based on the existing research results and focus on the issue of private writing history in early and middle Northern Song Dynasty. It mainly utilize our nation's first Bibliographies of private collections with the summary Jun Zhai Bibliographic Guide by a Song Dynasty writer and Si Ku Quan Shu Zong Mu during the reign of Emperor Qianlong in the Qing Dynasty and the relative references to make out the catalogues of private writing history in early and middle Northern Song Dynasty.And is based on Wu Dai Shi Ji Written by Ouyang Xiu,Changan zhi by Songminqiu,Xin Tang Shu Jiu Miu by Wu Zhen,Tang Jian by Fan zuyu,Ji Gu Lu by Ouyang Xiu, Zi Zhi Tong Jian Kao Yi by Sima Guang and other representatives and their works to analysis the outline and characters of private writing history in early and middle Northern Song Dynasty.Chapter One expounds the composing conditions of the private writing history in the early and middle Northern Song Dynasty, and the development of economy; the prosperity of culture; the attention of the court. All of these can enrich the official and private book collection,and improve the official composing system, and perfect the traditional compiling style. They directly influence the development and characters of private writing history in the early and middle Northern Song Dynasty.Chapter Two analyzes the situation of the private writing history before Northern Song Dynasty and the prometaphase of the Northern Song Dynasty. It indicates the basic situation of private writing history before the Northern Song Dynasty, that is, the official compiling history and the private writing history develops together, the latter is more and more affected by the former, which develops more prominent in the Northern Song Dynasty.Chapter Three expounds on the features of the compilation of private writing history in the early and middle period of the Northern Song Dynasty:the development of which possessed not only inheritance, but also creativity. It was characterized by the revival in compiling the history of the previous dynasty; compilation of private history by official compilers; the occurrence of chorography, historical review, and sphragistics. And in the meantime, the representative figures of private writing history:Historical Records of Five Dynasties by Ouyang Xiu and The History of Chang-an by Song Mnqiu, The Correction of Xin Tang Shu Jiu Miu by Wu Zhen, Tang Jian by Fan Zuyi, Ji Gu Lu by Ouyang Xiu and Zi Zhi Tong Jian Kao Yi by Sima Guang.This thesis, compared with previous studies, has several new perspectives as follows:First and foremost, deficient researches for the private writing history of the Song Dynasty still exist. Generally speaking, the former researches concerned more about the system of official-record history, but choose to neglect the private historical records of Northern Song Dynasty. The Northern Song private writing history are lack of a clear representation for its development context because of the private writing history of Northern&Southern Song Dynasty are often mixed together and more focus on the South. This paper will study the private writing history in early and middle Song dynasty, especially Northern Song. From the representatives and their works we analyzed the characteristics of the Northern Song private writing history and how the official history effect it, finally we clarify the basic outline of the private writing history in early and middle Song dynasty.Secondly, when analysis the characteristics of the private writing history in Northern Song Dynasty we find that the researchers possess quality and variety, and many of them are officials in the court who have the experience of attending History Center to compose national history. Thereupon, officials'composing the private history is one of the characters of private writing history in Northern Song Dynasty. This paper combines the officials'life story recorded in biographies in Song Shi and also use tables to reflect the generality of the characters of officials composing the private history directly.
