A Study On The Research Of Scholars In The Qing Dynasty On The Throne Succession In Early Song Dynasty

Since the establishment of the Northern Song Dynasty,the first succession to the throne took place in the presence of an adult prince,using less common methods of brother and brother.In addition,there were some doubtful cases such as "Jin Gui Zhi Meng"(“????”)and"Fu Sheng Zhu Ying"(“????”),which caused the issue of the throne succession in early Song Dynasty to be paid close attention to by later generations.Scholars in the Qing Dynasty also had similar problems due to the succession to the throne of their own dynasty.In addition,the problem can serve as a typical example of judging history by moral and ethical principles and the role of exploring secret psychology.Therefore,they invested great enthusiasm in the issue of the throne succession in early Song Dynasty.The discussion on this issue is unprecedented in both quantity and breadth and depth.The relevant writings of scholars in the Qing Dynasty are mainly in the form of historical theories,historical notes,poems and notes.Official writings coexist with private writings,and private writings are absolutely dominant.These discourses are widely distributed in poetry collections and related historical works,and a few are found in classics and sub-classics.In terms of time distribution?there are a considerable number of related discussions in KangXi,QianLong and GuangXu Dynasties.Due to the difference in political status and academic thoughts,scholars in the Qing Dynasty had no small difference in their understanding of scholars in the Qing Dynasty,but they were obviously influenced by the official mainstream ideology represented by the emperorOn the whole,scholars in the Qing Dynasty have made great achievements in the study of the throne succession in the early Song Dynasty.In the main point of view,scholars in the Qing Dynasty generally acknowledged the authenticity of the"Jin Gui Zhi Meng"(“????”)and believed that it was the three conventions handed down from TaiZong,TaiZong to Tingmei,and Tingmei to Dezhao.however.,there was much controversy over the"Fu Sheng Zhu Ying"(“????”).In addition,many unique viewpoints put forward by scholars in the Qing Dynasty deserve attention.In the research path,scholars in the Qing Dynasty paid attention to judging from relevant figures such as Du TaiHou,Song TaiZu,Song TaiZong,Zhao Pu and so on.In terms of research methods,scholars in the Qing Dynasty mostly used comparative and textual research methods.Due to subjective and objective conditions,there are also some limitations in the study of throne succession in early Song Dynasty by scholars in the Qing Dynasty,which are mainly manifested in four aspects:insufficient exploration of historical materials,overemphasis on personal morality in character evaluation,the flood of orthodox and karma theories in historical interpretation,and the disorder of expression.Starting from discussing the limitations of the study of scholars in the Qing Dynasty,we may have a glimpse of the shortcomings of traditional historiography in the study of political history of past dynasties.The study on the throne succession in early Song Dynasty by scholars in the Qing Dynasty is of great significance to the inheritance and development of previous studies and to the inspiration of later studies,which has promoted the study of the history of the Song Dynasty to a certain extent.
