Military college is the important place where our army develops comprehensive officers and soldiers with high quality. Music education plays an important role in quality-oriented education for students in military college, and promotes the quality of students subtly. The history of Sino-foreign war shows that, music is always the significant factor to find the educational function of folk music, and folk music has an effect that can't be ignored in fostering the fighting spirit and improving the comprehensive quality. However, our army lacks correct positioning in the folk music in military college, especially in the systematic research and argument about how folk music can develop to expand the training mode of qualified officers, and military college has not make an unified training plan about its teaching. Based on the folk teaching, this paper combines the excellent tradition with the current cultural work in the army. That is to say, bring its excellent traditional science to the current music education work dialectically, and open up a new path for folk music education in army college. It has gained students' general high praise. The main work and innovation points are as follows:1. The present situation of music education in military academies is investigated, and the problems that the folk music education in the domestic military colleges has are analyzed, thus the primary reasons are given.2. The new situation, new challenges and new problems that the music education in military college faces in new era are discussed, and then the new task of folk music education is expounded, and how folk music can improve the students'quality and fighting spirit is analyzed in depth.3. By the questionnaire survey on the music-teaching situation in military college to the students in the Second Artillery Force Engineering College (SAFEC), and through statistics and analysis, the current situation of music education in military college is dissected, and combined with data analysis, the necessity that folk music should be put into practice is described systematically.4. How to construct the folk music curriculum system (FMCS) that caters to the military college in theory is discussed. The objective, principle implementation and evaluation of FMCS construction pattern are elaborated, and music education activities and teaching are directed by FMCS in SAFEC. Therefore, without loosing its tradition, folk music can develop its own advantage considering the characteristics of troops. It is a kind of outspread and innovation for music culture in military college, and fills in the gap of folk music teaching. Moreover, it provides theoretical and practical reference for SAFEC and other military college of the same kind.5. Under the guidance of the FMCS in military college, and by opening a music curriculum, which is entitled "the Verve of the Chinese folk music", the artistic image and charm of folk music are utilized to edify and educate the students. Through the combination of compulsory and elective courses, curricular and extracurricular, the teaching of Chinese folk music has achieved good results. The author of folk music in the military changes the traditional teaching methods, and emphasizes the ability to use the music, so students can contribute to the improvement of basic competencies6. Through the execution of FMCS, we can find that FMCS can enlighten their thoughts, firm their faith, motivate their fighting will, and coruscate positive intrinsic power by the music appreciation. Furthermore, this curriculum benefits a lot for the officers to develop strong organizational and coordination ability, patriotic feelings, sound personality, and mental health.
