Reflections On Folk-costume Music In College Music Lessons

Music education in the common colleges takes an obligatory responsibility on cultivating talents with comprehensive abilities, taking over and developing Chinese traditional culture. Folk-custom music is the most representative part of Chinese traditional culture. But for a long time, because people hold misunderstanding on folk-custom music's quality and value, there is a shortage of the application of folk-custom music in common college music education. Under the current situation, with the constant renovation of teaching theories and unceasing transformation of people's notions, folk-costume music should be applied to cultivate students' ethical aesthetic conceptions and enhance ethical spirit and take over and develop Chinese traditional music cultural inheritance. On the basis of how to combine the traditional music culture and modern music education, this article probes some questions about the folk-custom application in common college music education. After collecting and tidying up some material,based on "National Directive Scheme for College Public Art Courses " , the article analyzes the feasibility of folk-custom music' s application in college music education, explains the necessity of folk-custom music in college music education, and discusses the approaches of putting folk-custom music with local features into college education, thus extending from music into culture and making an overall analysis and exploration of the college music education's application.
