The thesis compares the Greek epic Iliad with the Mongolian epic Jangar in three aspects, such as the causes of war, the process of war and the end of the war.The thesis is mainly composed of introduction, main body, conclusions, and appendix.Chapter one systematically analyzes the two epic's war beginning, and comes to the conclusion that they have many same sides, and also they have many different sides. Chapter two compare the two epic's war processing in three aspects as time, space, method. And comes to the conclusion that the war in the epic's is not the real war. Chapter three compare the two epic's war ending and comes to the conclusion that the different between Iliad and Jangar is because of their production and culture. Last I give an advise that the inheritance of epic and the epic singer's view are deciding the war ending.
