Jangar is one of the three great Chinese epics. Various researches about Jangar has been done on its Chinese version from different levels and perspectives since the first vision was published in 1942. However, the comparative study of the Chinese version of Jangar is insufficient still.Focusing on the chapter Brave Lion Hongur's Weddings, this paper is to make a comprehensive study on the three Chinese versionsof Jangar which translated by SeDaoreji, Huo Recha and Hele respectively,language and motifs based on the texts would be emphatically analyzed.The similarities of these versions reflect the consistency of Mongolian nation's main spirit and value, and the differences are determined by both the translator's translation skills and different understandings upon the texts, as well as the variationsof the heritage and the influence of culture.Although there are obvious mistranslation in the three Chinese versions of Jangar, each has its own merits.the paper try to explain the reason of mistranslation and profound meaning of the version. |
