This thesis mainly discusses the Concubine Palace in the Tang Dynasty on its institution,operation, management and function of this structure. And it alao does a detailed study and deep analysis towords the life, treatment and fate of the officals and maids in the Tang Concubine Palace . For lack of the relevant historical data and the insufficient research achievements, the article on the basis of the senior scholars of the achievements will do pilot study on the Concubine Palace in Tang Dynasty ,and try to make us have an overall, systematic understanding about this.The whole thesis except the forwards,conclusion can be divided into five parts:The forwards mainly reviewed the research situation of the Tang Concubine Palace in the academic community,and briefly stated the selected topic reason , the significance,the method and the innovation of this thesis.The first chapter discussed the Concubine Palace'birth and its evolution berore the Tang Dynasty. Firstly,it makes a textual research in the word"Concubine Palace"in order to definite its meaning and the evolution; Secondly, the author carrys on the system combing on the function before the Tang Dynasty.The second part: the institutions and management of Concubine Palace in the Tang Dynasty. This palace is primarily inhabited by the Concubines and maids. As a subsidiary of Neishisheng, the administrative staffs of the Concubine Palace bureau were not always eunuch,some were scholar and female officials.In the Tang Dynasty, Changan and Luoyang all built Concubine palaces,with the corresponding agencies and female officers. What's more, the Concubine Palace bureau has interworking with Xingbu, Sinongsi and Shaofujian.The third part: the situation of officials in the Concubine Palace bureau. The amount of eunuch in this department varied with the eunuch population. Their promotion, treatment and residence was a miniature of all the eunuch in theTang Dynasty as a whole. Their promotion largely finished in-house, and the settlements were also relatively centralized in certain space. The fourth part is"the function of Concubine Palace". On the basis of previous dynasty, its main function turned into managing the maid's servitude.In the Tang Dynasty, the management function of the crime officers and their wife and daughters for confiscation was the same as the Wei; Jin; Southern and Northern Dynasties. But its educational function was getting pretty obvious.The fIfth chapter: the Gong Ren of Concubine Palace. In this palace,there are something identical as well as different in terms of these females'origin, position, life and destiny. They mainly came from confiscation,some were from the succession to the former generation and tribute. In a word,they lived simply and had to work hard with the low status and the hard fate.
