Left-behind children is a special social group. Due to the disintegrated growth environment, Left-behind children are more likely have various problems than non left-behind children , such as psychological problems, learning and behavior problems, which have been increasingly concerned about by society. The left-behind children can grow healthy or no effects not only to their physical and mental health, the future quality of life and career success, but also to their family happiness, social harmony and development. Left-behind children in rural areas "special" is the core of family structure changes and changes in family functioning. When the family changes, the left-behind children in rural is not completely passive recipients, but an active participant in the original family home and the current daily interaction, they have their own unique experience and subjective feelings. the left-behind children's family understanding and attitudes are important to psychological characteristics of its components and the importance of internal thinking and behavior, directly affect their physical and mental development, it is necessary from the perspective of rural children left the main body of their families change understanding and attitudes.The study consists of two parts, part one use semantic analysis and word association method to research the left-behind children's understanding of family and to infer their families'requires. Research shows that the left-behind children in rural areas understand the family mainly from family members and material basis, the emotional significance of family, responsibilities and obligations and decision making, conflict and difficult and so on.. The characteristics of the left-behind children's understanding of family is that family awareness is traditional, family emotional needs is strong, and is sensitive to family conflict, and is profound to family's ability to cope with difficulties. There are grade characteristics of the left-behind children's understanding in family. This is related to intelligence, the main tasks of the events and experiences and their environment. In part two, IAT and questionnaire method are used to revealed implicit attitudes of the left-behind children to family. Research shows that the left-behind children's attitude towards family is generally positive. There are not grade and gender differences in the left-behind children's attitude towards family. The left-behind children's family understanding reflects their needs of family. The findings suggest that families should provide adequate material based on the left-behind children's physical and mental development, strengthen their emotional support and care, create help each other in family, work together, and harmonious and democracy family atmosphere in order to promote their healthy growth. Attitude is the internal thinking of individual behavior. Find out events and treasons of the left-behind children's negative attitudes on family, and change family and event's unreasonable or unscientific behavior, and make the left-behind children have a positive attitude to family.Extensive study enriches left-behind children data, and provides a new theoretical basis for scientific and effective education of left-behind children. It helps understand correctly and solve the problems of left-behind children, promotes their healthy development and explores a new idea to help vulnerable groups for educators, social workers.
