Gannan Hakka Ancestral Halls In The Decorative Arts

This paper gives a study of the decorative art of Gannan Hakka ancestral hall .With our society rapid development nowadays; I annotate the decorative art of Gannan Hakka ancestral hall from the natural environment, traditional culture, architectural molding technology, and architectural decorative art of southern Jiangxi and so on through comprehensive collect and collate the date so that people have a deep understanding the clan, religious beliefs and their implication with the custom and spirit sense and other inside cultural content of Gannan Hakka people. Thus, we regain the traditional Chinese art and culture which has been gradually forgotten.The article contains five chapters, analyzing the environment of politics, economy and culture in Gannan region and laying special stress on analyzing the decorative art's features of Gannan Hakka ancestral hall .The first chapter ,concerning the cultural background of the Gannan Hakka hall's decorative art formation ,it concludes these several influences on its decoration form the analysis on natural environment ,social history ,building features ,society and economy. In the second chapter has a good analysis and research on its art construction and makes a further analysis of its form and the main parts for decoration. And the following third chapter has a detailed analysis of its aesthetic implication, manifesting in decorative skills, technique of expression, images and cultural connotation .The fourth chapter takes the ancestral halls of Qi and Xie as examples to analyses the art features of Gannan Hakka ancestral halls .The last chapter makes a summary of the historic significance of its research values, which plays a important role in the development of the modern decorative art. Consequently, protection and excavation of Gannan Hakka ancestral halls'decorative art culture are the major content.
