It is the combination of people's essential factors, which include knowledge, experience, character, personality, mentality, emotion, accomplishment and etc.Now, China's economy is changing from the stagnating centrally planned economic system to socialist market adjusted economic system. The basic characteristic of the socialism market adjusted economic system is based on the state-owned enterprises economic system and it runs in the same or similar way as capitalist economic system. However, its purpose is to make all the people wealthy. The dual specifications of socialism market economic system make the influence of modern people's quality.The socialism market adjusted economy is the basic method of establishing our agriculture, industry, national defense, and education modernization. It is also the basic way to build people's quality. The famous philosopher Engris once pointed out the importance of modernization, "A country is modern country, only if its people is modern people, who have modern feature in ideal and behave, and the administration of political, economy and culture have the characteristicof modernization." The spirit of main stream is the thought and emotion. It is the motivation of practice, the integration of self-control, objective, and creation. The socialism market economy is the mainstream economy. The spirit of mainstream is the basic requirement of socialism market economy to the people. Market economy stimulates the mainstream people completely. The force is competition. From Marxism point of view, competition is the process of conflicts and chooses the strong from the weak in different systems, or different elements within one system, so that it can push forward the evolution. In market economic system, every mainstream should depend on itself rather than exterior to survive in the market. All of these are the spirit of competition. On the other hand, the spirit of equality is decided by the exchange value of commodities. People are equal in every bid and contracts in economic activities. Competition is processed under the condition of equality, openness, and Tightness.
