This thesis attempts to study Lu Ling's novel writings in the l940s onthe basis of his inner spirit.The thesis is divided into 4 relative parts.The introductory part briefly introduces the present studying about Lu Ling'snovel writings in the l940s. The first chapter tries to show that the support of LuLing's Life and creation is basically obtained from the tragic outlook on life andsacred spirit for his belief This has been clearly reflected in his novel writings as avery initiative writer. The second chapter demonstrates the characteristics of LuLing's novels' contents. His novels unfold the masses' mental slavery scar andexplore the primitive force and wandering consciousness in their inner souls. Thethird chapter discusses the unique artistic style of Lu Ling's novels'. This style isrepresented through the narrative center, environmental description and languageform. The author thinks that Lu Ling's novels in the 1940s deliver to us a kind ofsubjective heroic spirit either from their contents or their forms.
