AbstractIn the twentieth century's literature history of China, Zhang Ailing is absolutely different from others. From the point of view of Shanghaiees she dwelt on human sadness and wrote of their complete life in her works. The sense of feminism can naturally be seen in Zhang Ai ling's novels. Roughly, male characters fall into two kinds: one has disabilities in body, the other in mind. The former characters have their physical disadvantages, while the latter have patriarchy lessened in mind. The females in her works are generally stronger than males but in most cases they are mostly silent, worried and depressed. During the long cultural history of the twentieth century, Zhang Ailing, Su Qing and the writers of in the 1990s feminism are outstanding in their own writing.Just based on the related theories of feminism and by means of comparison and contrast, this article analyses Zhang Ailing's novels with the real intention of penetrating such ideas as mentioned above in a new and original way.Written by Cheng Xiuping(majoring in Chinese Literature) Directed by Prof. Cao Huimin & Vice Professor Liu Xiangan...
