Sun Qifeng, who was a famous Neo ?confucianiist between Ming and Qing Dynasty had a wealth of the practical thought ideology though being taught by the school of universal mind. On ontology, he insisted on the theory of real principle, arguing that principle couldn?t be separated from material force, and mind couldn?t be separated from events, opposing that emptiness shouldn?t be the foundation of Buddhism and Taoism. On the theory of human nature, he persisted in the monism of nature, opposing the division of nature and quality, advocating that good and evil were originated from quality. On method of cultivation, he persevered in the theory of practical thatical training and usicity which adricating practice instead of idle talk. On confucian researching, he overstepped the prejudice of schools, coping with various disputes and opinions instead of exoluding them, and formed a distinctive confucian method with a realistic spirit. Caning forward the confucian traditional practical thoughts, Sun Qifeng?s real learning ideology played an important improving role and had a profound influence on practical thoughts at that time.
