Economic globalizadon is one of the most important characters in our times. On the United Nations Day in 1992. Gary. the former general secretary of UN addressed:?the first ture globalism age has come.?So, is economic globalization a miracle abruptly called out from the underground through magic arts? Or is it an objective trend with its own historical process? What is its nature? And what influence will its formation and development exert on peoples values? Since the Opium War, China has been forced to step into the modem historical process. The tide of economic globalization exerted great historical influence on the values of modem China. Under the promotion of the new round of economic globalization, where should the dominate values of current China going? And what are their basic contents? This thesis tries to analyze and study the above question. The thesis consists of five parts. The first part briefly analyzes the meaning and changes of values; The second part mainly examines the history of economic globalization and the orientation of ~慳lues. The thesis reckons that economic globalization originated from the discovery of the ne拁 continent b~? Christopher Columbus in 1492. So far it has experienced three stages. which are commercial economy. industrial economy and information economy. The profound change of economy will inevitably lead to the fundamental revolution of values. Economic globalization has different value orientation in different stages. These values, as fruits of economic globalization, are spread all over the whole world. The third part mainly deals with the influence of economic globalization on the changes of current china抯 dominant values. First. a brief analysis is made about influence of economic globalization on the changes of modem China抯 values, and then the economic globalization抯 influence on the changes of current China抯 value is studied. The thesis draws a conclusion that economic globalization promoted the dominant value called new collectivism in current China. The fourth part analyses economic globalization抯 influence on the basic content of current China抯 values. It generalizes the main content of changes of current China抯 dominant values, that is. the reform and opening based on value orientation of individual freedom and social harmon~?has become the main tune of the advancement of our times. the market econom?on basis of the value orientation of equal competition has become the basic mechanism of China抯 econom\ function, and rule of la~~ based oi; the \~al~J~ orientation of democracy and legal system has become the basic strateg\ of current Chinas society management. The last part briefl\ puts forward countermeasures to deal with the changes of curreni China抯 values.
