View on value is the core of a cultural system. As the culture carrier, the Chinese modern intellectual groups evaluate their traditional views on value rationally, which embody then- humane concern society, also present the transition process from traditional intellectual groups to new intellectuals, that is the process of their own value which come into being step by step during a long time that contacted with western culture.The thesis uses the Paradigm Theory of Thomas Kuhn, with the groups as their study objects, which showed the academic characteristics of their age that tightly connected with the central view on value. In the individual research of the ancestor of liberalism, from Yen Fu to Hu Shi, it shows the views on value of the combination between the western and eastern culture, however, the comparison study between Chen DuXiu and Li DaZhao makes it more clear and complete.In the value choices, from late Qing Dynasty to early Min Guo, the thesis also explain the topic on which is the stronger between the western and the eastern, furthermore, with the basis on value achievements of the Chinese modern intellectuals, it sets forth its own ideas concerns with the traditional value opinions.
