Nowadays, people are paying more and more attention to the ancient judicial system. The Han Dynasty is a very important period. The thesis analyses and demonstrates legal function, judicial system and law-applying on the Han Dynasty, and tries to hunt after the total character of the Han judicial system. The whole thesis composes of three parts.Part one particularly introduces numerous and jumbled judicial authorities. On the Han Dynasty, Almost all the organizations and persons relating to administration, decision-making, supervising and servicing in the basilica had full or some jurisdiction.In part two, the author recommends manifold proceeding on the Han. The state hadn't unite judicial rules, instead, different class shared different procedure. The class could be divided into three kinds as nobles, common people and slaves.In part three, the author textual researches the situations of law-applying on the Han. The Han's law was affected by rite (li) , in the time almost all judges had two standards in trailing. On the whole, Xunli or Ruli insisted on the rites (li) as the main basis in trailing. But Kuli or shuli stressed to apply the statute law to resolve social conflicts, even though they abused the penalty.
