Three-oriented Development Strategy, And Deng Xiaoping Culture

With the practice of exercising leadership in China's reform and opening up and1 its socialist modernized construction, DengXiaoPing puts forward his systematic thinking of culture development strategy, of which the "Three Orientations" is one important component. In the dissertation, analyzing the sense of culture contained in "Being oriented to the modernization, to the world and to the future" and the individable organic relations among the three, the author expounds that the "Three Orientations" is an integrated condensation of Deng's culture development strategy. Then, the author applies the fundamentals of dialectical materialism and historical materialism and tries to approach the problem from various angles. The discussion involves in many disciplines such as culture, philosophy, politics and history etc.The analysis and expounding can be divided into three parts, hi part one, the author expounds that the strategy of "Being oriented to the modernization" realizes the transformation of cultural pattern in China, and this change of basic cultural concept in turn gives rise to the renewal of a series of cultural concept, and provides a prerequisite for the correct building of socialist culture. Part two is mainly focused on the strategy of "Being oriented to the world". This strategy ushers in a method to blazing new trails in culture .The author points out that blazing new trails in culture is an essential principle followed in constructing socialist culture. Part three mainly analyzes the strategy of "Being oriented to the future ". The strategy points out the orientation of culture development. Being in keeping with the crientation of the "advanced culture". This orientation of culture development is also the necessary orientation followed by construction of a culture "Being oriented to the modernization" and "Being oriented to the future".In a word, The "Three Orientations" is a dialectical and organic integration. It accomplishes not only the change of culture development concept but the change of social development concept as well. Thestrategies are of great significance both for socialist culture construction and for the whole socialist modernization construction.
