Researching goal orientations is a new development of motivation theory, many scholars researched this question, we can enrich motivation theory and offer important practice meaning by researching goal orientations and influential factors of goal orientations. Based on the extensive literature and updated findings from both home and abroad, we address the purpose of this study is to explore structure & development characteristics of undergraduate goal orientations and the relations between the goal orientations and locus of control. The research used the questionnaires-oriented of undergraduate goal orientations to select 612 students in random. After exploratory and modified factor analysis, we concluded superior reliability and validity in undergraduate goal orientations questionnaire of 20 questions. Its structures are social intimacy goals, mastery goal, approach performance goal, social responsibility goal and avoiding performance goal. We studied the undergraduate goal orientations by this questionnaire. Result indicates: every level of undergraduate goal orientations fall with grade's raise, but when the students go into grade two, every level of undergraduate goal orientations is calming. The undergraduate's social intimacy goals is the more highest, The undergraduate's social responsibility goals is the more lowest; a significant gender difference shows in mastery goal and social responsibility goals, Girl's mastery goal is higher than boy's, boy's social responsibility goal is higher than girl's ; we analyze the locus of control, find every level of undergraduate goal orientations has different degree and direction relation with self-control, opportunity and other-control attribution.
