After browsing quantities of articles on translation,I discover that great changes are taking place in the course of translation study. From no theory to a resorted development trend,it now tends to regard translation as a cultural phenomenon. Many a translator have initiated their study in terms of aesthetics, comparison between different languages and cultures and other angles. However, the research scope has not much covered political English and let alone the study by means of comparing the English thinking mode and characteristics of language and culture with that of Chinese. Therefore, beginning with the language and culture difference between English and Chinese,in this article,I try to put forward feasible strategies for political English translation through analysis on the thinking mode difference between English and Chinese. At last,I help to stipulate the translation standard of political English as a result of the practice of translation strategies. From the translation practice, this article helps to realize that it will greatly contribute to the quality and effects of the translation practice, the understanding and acceptance of the readers and even the intercultural communication to deepen the study on the language and culture difference between English and Chinese.I am not busy creating new comparative translation theory, but hope to,by comparison and analysis, enlighten the translators to deepen their exploration so as to produce better translation and meet the demands of the readers andeven society well. As the content of this article concerns many aspects,Icannot expound every idea to extreme detail and surely cannot reach the perfection. It will be much appreciated if I could receive comments from our professors and the vast students.
