Critical Writing On The New Generation Of Writers

The young writers born in the 1960s and sprung up in the 1990s are known as new generation of writers in the field of literature review. They differed from former writers in literary concept and practice. The basic comments of reviewers on them are that they are dancing with life and reality. The writing of individuation and folk are originally unblamable, however, they get into hot water in nihility of history and value because of poor experiences and the language environment of post-modern. So, they are lack of basic self-discipline in spirit and self-examination in history. They are profligate in life and reality. They are short of the basic distance to reality and critical consciousness on reality, in a sense, which are essential forces of literature.The above are essential aspects of spirit and writing status of many people of new generation of writers. However, around them are spirit kavass, although only a few, from the point of view of critical consciousness, they are positive forces. Therefore, the same generation of writers have two different spirit interfluve:: convert and critic. From the analysis on the background factors we can get the reason of their separation, which include history background (idealism), social background (commercialism) and culture background (individuation). The discussions and reviews on writers with critical consciousness and their works are main contents of this dissertation. The dissertation can be divided into six chapters except for introduction and conclusion: Chapter 1 Didacticism light: On Xu kun and Lu yang: Chapter 2 Noah's ark save: On Bei cun; Chapter 3 Looking for city's soul: On Qiu huadong; Chapter 4 Dynasty Qin's moon and Dynasty Han's barrier: On Xu Ian and Meng hui; Chapter 5 Endless affection of people and ghost: On Zhong jingjing; Chapter 6 Being a butterfly: On femalelisra writing:Chen Ran, Lin Bai, Hong Ying and Hai Nan. Chapter 1 discussed the impression of material on spirit under the extreme development of modernity on the basis of analyzing Xu Kun and Lu Yang and their works of "Dung of Bird"and "The second half of 1993'night", etc.. At this time enlightment consciousness of some of excellent intellectual somewhat begin to recover. They not only enlighten people in the form of fable, but also enlighten themselves in the form of joke to express a basic insist on spirit holding under no choice. Chapter 2 put Bei Cun and his works as the example to discuss the course which individual life experienced in order to look for his soul home in the reality of spirit-homeland losing and extreme expansion of material desires. The desire for soul homeland comes from self-respecting of spirit, because spirit can be divided into logos and transcendency, and transcendency is about soul. Ultimate care for soul makes him go into real religious philosophy and religious affection. So, Bei Cun abandoned nation pragmatism philosophy, and issue the ultimate seeking to the absentminded universe and helpless atman. From the reality to spirit, from the people to god, he shouted to higher and higher existence. This is the apocalypse Bei Cun gave us. Chapter 3 analyzed the Qiu Huadong and his novels based on the theme of city, it revealed the rigidification of metropolis; this process of rigidification is the process of annex of humanity and life. In spiculate conflict of material with life, he expressed the criticism on modern civilization. Dissimilation and death is the basic choice of his protagonists: these fated cycles excited author to bring the breakout consciousness. And the desire for the hometown is not only his way of breakout, but also recall of the early city. The end of breakout for Bei Cun is religious, while Qiu Huadong has no end, it is only the process of seeking, but itis this process that reflect his denial; this is his criticism on reality.The criticism way of the above writers is face to face, then the criticism way of writers in following two chapters is back to back.
