The JiangXi Poetry School was a great poetry group in Song Dynasty. ZengJi learnt many artistic experience from the JiangXi Poetry School which was his essential artistic source, and he practiced that in his poems, which resulted in the likeness between his poems and the poems of JiangXi Poetry School to a certain degree.However, the later JiangXi Poetry School poets led the poetry field to an impasse in which poems became more and more obscure. In order to rectify the disadvantage, ZengJi obsorbed and perfected "HuoFa" theory raised by Lv BenZhong , which laid theorical foundation for the poetic innovation. He explored a new way to compose poems and wrote a lot of poems with natural and delicate and light style, which set an example for innovating poetry style and brought about booming prospects of the NanSong Dynasty's poetry field. It was ZengJi's commendable contribution to Song Dynasty's poetry field.The rough study on ZengJi's social intercourse in this thesis provides some material and basis for researching ZengJi himself and his poems.
