Guo Lin was a key figure in the history of Zhexi Ci Poems, who lived between the Qianlong and Jiaqing Periods of Qing Dynasty when Zhexi Ci Poems was declining and Changzhou Ci Poems as a new force suddenly rose. Guo Lin criticized the Zhexi Ci Poems' shortcomings of the overemphasis on the importance of using allusions, and constructed his own poetic thoughts of advocating unbound language style and revealing the poet's true feelings. Meanwhile, his new style also embodied in his writing practice. The writer's ci poems were fresh, natural and fluent, so formed a sharp contrast with the Qian-Jia ci poems which was obscure and elusive. Thus, Guo Lin's writings made superb artistic achievements.With how to analyze the defect of Zhexi Ci Poems as the starting point, the article concluded the innovative characteristics of Guo Lin's Ci-poem theories. At the same time, new characteristics in poet's words was concluded by studied his Lingfenguanci, and also the article studied on the reasons for this change. At last, according to the textual research on his experience and companionship, the article traced back to ideological origin of the changing styles of Guo Lin's poetry. Guo Lin's new poetry style deeply impacted the development of Zhexi Ci Poems. The article further emphasized on the author's outstanding position. Obviously, his remarkable achievements greatly influenced the following poets which makes him very famous in the history of poetry during the Qianlong and Jiaqing periods.
