Memory illusion is a hot spot in present memory researches, while relatedness effects is a common phenominon in memory illusion.Recently, many researches focused on influential factors, discrimination of the critical items from the study items, nerve mechanisms and theory interpretations of relatedness effects, And fuzzy-trace theory is the one arousecd much attention.Based on the semantic relatedness effects, this essay systematically studies the phonetic and the graphemic relatedness effects in Chinese under recognition conditions. There are three experiments designed to test these topics respectively. The results are demonstrated as following:1. There is phonetic and graphemic relatedness effects in Chinese. This result shows that the semantic representation of the fuzzy-trace theory can be generalized to the phonetic and graphemic representation.2. The verbatim representation and the gist representation is relative and they can transform under certain conditions. The transformation follows the principal of cognition economy.3. The generalization has several levels, and only certain high-level generation can lead to memory illusion.4. The production of relatedness effects is correlated not only with the studying period but also with the testing perion. The mechanism of relatedness effects is very complex.
