Huang Binhong is famous for landscape traditional Chinese painting after living through two centuries and two eras. What's more, his artistic practice makes great significance to the traditional Chinese painting when it turns to the modern form.The dissertation focuses on the remarkable importance how the penmanship of Huang Binhong effects on his painting, according to the "draw calligraphy into painting" principle. The active direction of the principle is quite definite whether in theory or in practice. With profound traditional culture details and original view of calligraphy, Huang Binhong manages to integrate painting with penmanship. In this way. he endues traditional sources with new abilities. He sums up ''five tips of a writing brush and seven tips of ink" from calligraphy, and also the new way of painting such as "draw, daub, and stipple", which makes true feeling turn into the main factor of mobilizing the brush and ink. In another word, Huang Binhong solves the problem of the modem development of traditional Chinese painting inside tradition.Huang Binhong not only finds the integration of calligraphy and painting, but also makes great efforts to explore the resemblance between China and west when they transcend material shape. In this way. he brings traditional Chinese painting into overall pattern of cosmopolitan art development.As time goes by, the influence of Huang Binhong continues to reveal gradually, which is useful to promote the development of traditional Chinese painting on the basis of tradition.
