Mandarin Whispered Voice Characteristics

This paper is about phonetic character of neutral tone described in a systematic way in four phonetic factors : length, intensity^ pitch and timber .The author thinks a course that stresses syllables which weaken in neutral is the same as a course in which these four factors change , and length is the most important factor .which allows us to master neutral tone widely and deeply-We find that some students often have no neutral tone in PSK .We collect many phonetic specimens which include three grades and six levels of mandarin and the neutral practice of foreigners . By analyzing these specimens, we find the distribution and the reason of neutral errors, This gives us a way to correct the errors?At last , the author put forward a method of teaching neutral tone, according to the phonetic character and error situation of neutral tone, which is especially difficult for foreign language students, This teaching method can be used for teaching the neutral tone in Chinese to foreign language students .
