Guangya is a summary of the cultural heritage before the Han and Wei Dynasty. The first chapter of Guangya, Shigu, following the example of Erya and relying on the plentiful literatures, compiles the common words from Zhou Qin to Han Dynasty, and contains many valuable information about Chinese basic research.This thesis aims at the deficiencies in the study of Guangya, puts forward a actual task of revaluing its linguistics importance, and applys the theory of semasiology, lexics and lexicology, from the overall characters, the meaning-relation to the compilation, to give a general review of Shigu. The main purpose is to summarize the contribution that Guangya, the traditional linguistics masterpiece, has given to the modern linguistics in theoretic conception and research methods. |
