This paper discusses the verb reiterative- locution on the basis of the grammar theory of three dimensions. Seven parts are included in it.1. Structure. This part describes the grammatical construction of the verb reiterative- locution, the semantic relation between the material A and B, the word order and phonetic form of A and B and explains the word order as well.2. Syntactic function and relevant pattern. This part classifies the verb reiterative- locution from the angle of function and analyzes the syntactical difference between the two categories. Combined with the markedness theory, the relevant pattern between the 2 categories and the sentential parts is pointed out.3. Semantic direction. This part mainly describes the semantic direction of the verb reiterative- locution as adverbial and explains its reason.4. Valence. This part classifies the verb reiterative- locution on valence and describes the sentence pattern formed by them.5. Comparison with the relevant forms. This part compares the verb reiterative- locution with the typical verb reduplication, adjective reduplication and "You A you B" structure respectively and points out the singular pragmatic value of the verb reiterative-locution.6. Pragmatic function. This part is about the usage of the verbreiterative- locution in text and style and points out the background information expressed by the verb reiterative- locution is unmarked. The verb reiterative- locution is mainly used in literary style.7. Historical development. This part investigates the developing process of the verb reiterative- locution and points out that it precedes the corresponding double- phonetic- form verb and the typical verb reduplication. But the diachronical development cannot decide the synchronical relation, for language is a unity of subjectivity and objectivity.
