Research On The Modern Chinese Reiterative Locution Words,Overlapping Compound Words

This paper is divided into five chapters. The first chapter is the introduction part,which briefly discussed the source of the writing of this paper. At the same time, it has been clear about the concrete object of this study and its research methods. The second chapter is about the detailed study of reiterative locution. Firstly it defines the concept of reiterative locution clearly, sorts the topicality of reiterative locution. It is concludes that the direction and the results of reiterative locution; Secondly it classifies the reiterative locution in the aspects of voice and discussed the aspect of voice of reiterative locution; Then it divides reiterative locution into seven categories from the perspective of part of speech and study the entries involved in exhaustive and origin type; From the source of reiterative locution, it makes a preliminary statistics about the classical Chinese words, dialect words and spoken words; Finally it discusses the rhetoric of the reiterative locution. It explores the pragmatic from the angle of rhetoric. The third chapter mainly discusses the overlapping compound words. It conducts a comprehensive statistics in the angle of the phonetic forms and characteristics of parts of speech classification, source of multiple angles. And discriminate the difference between the generation of the overlapping compound words and the overlapping usage of words. The fourth chapter sums up some special phenomenon in the process of research on reiterative locution and overlapping compound words. The fifth chapter is the general part. It summaries the whole paper from the form, content, parts of speech, the rhetoric, dictionary compilation and so on,and puts forward some opinions and suggestions on the charge of dictionary words.448 entries, which often take reiterative locution 353, article 95 overlapping compound words are picked up in this article by searching the Modern Chinese Dictionary(6th edition) and sorting exhaustively on the three standards of the same word, double syllable and phonology same two syllables. In the angles of the speech form, parts of speech classification, sources, characteristics and so on, it analyzes and summarizes the different performance of modern Chinese reiterative locution andoverlapping compound words. Through exploring and superimposing modern Chinese reiterative locution and overlapping compound words, it made clear the difference between reiterative locution and overlapping compound words. And it explores the origin of reiterative locution from the perspective of etymology. It makes up for the inadequacy of the research in this aspect reiterative locution as well sorts out the history of reiterative locution development at the same time. It provides us the help of better understanding of the reiterative locution in modern Chinese.
