The first part discusses Taixu's birth background and origin of his thoughts, we think that Taixu's thought is affected by his birth, Buddhism, Confucianism and revolutionary thoughts. The second partanalyze the main idea of Taixu's Buddhism thoughts--the thought ofman,life ,Buddhism thought on life and prevalent thought on life. The third part analyzes the characteristic of Taixu's thoughts on life. The main characteristic are the stable Buddhism stand,quotation of much science knowledge, assimilation of all kinds of thoughts of life and paying attentionto reality. The fourth part analyzes the relation between Buddhism thoughts on life and build Buddhism in reality. We think the foundation of Buddhism thought on life is the basis of building Buddhism in reality. The fifth part analyzes Taixu's handle on the reality andsur-reality problem of the history and analyze the importance of Taixu's thought in the building of contemporary Buddhism.
