This thesis seeks the Yuan Dynasty's literati inscriptor, especially takes Chu K'ui as representative in the late Yuan development, based on "Ming- Ch'i- Lu" and combined with the early Ming dynasty materials, as well as the Yuan dynasty literati used seal on the inherited calligraphy -and -paintings mainly as follow:i) the edited "Ming -Ch'i-Lu" by Chu K'ui, circulation and version problem;ii)the life, teaching relationship and friendship of Chu K'ui ,stress on his activities and reputation, appraisement among the literati circles as professional inscription.iii)revise the Yuan Dynasty literati's seal, and their professional inscription practice, resonance in the Scholar-and-officer class.iv)what they took the aesthetic conception of Qin, Han and Wei Ch'I ancient seals as the principle, had set up the statues of literati activities for the art, meanwhile, as the further researching and learning from the ancient seal of Qin Han and Wei Ch'i dynasties, arose the inscription style development of the literati.Therefore, the literati inscription seal in Yuan dynasty, especially in the late time , had already been established their normal standard and its seal system, which come up with their flourish and ripeness.
