ZuoZhuan is one of the significant classics in pre-Qin period. Based on the predecessors' research, this article is trying to collate and interpret the text of ZuoZhuan(左傳), finally written in the form of reading notes. It contains four aspects of research had been engaged in:1. It had collated the texts of an annotated ChunQiu and ZuoZhuan(春秋左傳) The chief copy is the thread-bound ChunQiu JingZhuan JiJie(春秋经传集解) photocopied by HanFenlou(涵芬(?)) in Shanghai on the Song Dynasty block-printed JinXiang edition (宋刊巾箱本) borrowed from the collector Jiangs in Yutian (玉田蔣氏)of SiBuCongKan (四部叢刊) published by ZhangYuanji.The collative copy is the ChunQiu ZuoZhuan ZhengYi(春秋左传正義) in the Ruan 's ShiSanJingZhuShu (阮刻十三经注疏) published by ZHONGHUA Publishing House in 1980.The referenced copies are the Photocopied Inscriptions of Classics on stone during the Kaicheng periods in Tang dynasty(景刊唐??成石经) which published by ZHONGHUA Publishing House in 1997, the Fragments of ChunQiu JingZhuan JiJie(春秋经传集解) in Dunhuang MS, the Collation Notes of Ruan's ShiSanJingZhuShu (阮元十三经注疏校勘記) and so on.2.It had compilied the variant words of ChunQiu and ZuoZhuan which was quoted in LiShan's annotates of WenXuan(文选) engraved by HuKejia in Qing Dynasty republished by ZHONGHUA Publishing House in 2005.3.It had compilied the variant words of ChunQiu and ZuoZhuan (春秋左传) which was quoted in the Fragments of YuanBenYuPian(原本玉篇残卷).4.Based on the front three aspects of research, this article is trying to write the reading notes of collating and interpreting of ZuoZhuan(左传) consulting the exegesis of ancient scholars and the unearth literatures.
