Korea vocabulary includes two systems, Pure Korean and Sino-Korean. Pure Korean is the words that used by Korea peninsula people down through the ages. Sino-Korean is the words that borrowed form Chinese and the words created from Chinese characters. And the ratio 9f Sino-Korean is a little higher than that of Korean. According to the historical data, it has been proved that Sino-Korean entered the Korean vocabulary system long before, and has a close relationship with Chinese. So, these evolution and characteristics have been the concerned theme in academic circles all the time. In addition, with the spread contacts between China and Korea Peninsula in economics, culture, etc.. translation as the communication tool also becomes the theme researched by scholars. And they have been doing a lot of research work. While, because of the similar pattern and meaning between Sino-Korean and Chinese, it is easy to make mistakes in translation. Therefore solving the problems is of the importance in translation.In order to solve the above-mentioned problem, this essay will inspect the evolution and characteristics of Sino-Korean and also the translation process dialectically. Above all, this essay explains the evolution and characteristics of Sino-Korean. Then, according to that, it brings up the specific methods and skills of translation in order to reduce mistakes. This essay aims at explaining the evolution and characteristics through the linguistic research method, and also raising the skills in Sino-Korean translation based on its characteristics.In order to achieve these preceding goals, on the basis of the researches contributed by the former academicians as well as the statements of my own opinions, this article demonstrates a comparative analysis of the history and modern use of the Sino-Korean and pure Korean by way of historical-comparative-linguistics and contrastiye-lmguistics. What's more, this article also makes a comparative research on the translation of Sino-Korean by way of descriptive linguistics.On the basis of the preceding ways of researching this article then represents the origin of the Sino-Korean, the way it introduced into the Korean language as well as the vary characteristics in its different eyaluating stages it also represents the characteristics of the modern Ship-Korean, making a precise classification about whose variable-pronunciation, the structure, the signification, the part of speech, the make up of the new words and the average usage, among which the elaboration of the structural characteristics of the Sino-Korean is pained more attention on.In accordance with some specific characteristics of the modern Sino-Korean, on the basis of the traditional ways of translation, it then represents some specific methods of translation techniques by way of specific examples.To sum up, this article represents the goals and approaches of my research firstly, and then provides with concrete solutions to some problems yielded in the evolution, the specific characteristics and the translation techniques of the Sino-Korean by way of combining the academic study with the practical reality. Finally, because of the limitation of my professional Knowledge, there must be some shortages in this article, which should be corrected and improved through my hard work and great efforts in the coming days...
