Quanzhou Genre and Xiamen Genre are the main genres of Fujian Nanyin music . The most important part of Nanyin is "Qu". This essay tries to make an overall and vivid illustration of the different melodies between the two genres, and take further discussion about the techniques and art rules. It also aims to discuss the origin of the various differences, analyze how local culture has great influence on the development of different genres by ways of history, geography, dialect, customs, traditional opera, aestheticism, etc.The essay consists of three chapters. The first chapter summarizes the development and establishment of Quanzhou Genre and Xiamen Genre. The second chapter analyzes the development of GongChiPu (music score) by comparison of "GunMen" , "QuPai" , "LiaoPai" (metre), "PuZi" and "ZhiFa" . The last chapter goes further study about their distinctive features and their origins, analyzing by ways of "JiaoZi" (music for voices), pronunciation and "RunQiang" (polishing the aria).
