After the World War II, the situations in Middle East had been complicated. AH kinds of ideas and movements surged on. Arab-Nationalism and new Pan-Islamism were popular from 1950's to 1960's in Arab world, whose effects were great. Nasserism and new Pan-Islamism did not belong to new thoughts, which were the continuation of the theory that the Arab elites had searched for the nation's future. In early 19th century of Arab-Islam world, the start-point of them had been noticed. After six-day war, the Arab-Nationalism gradually shrank. On the contrary, Pan-Islamism came into stage. This thesis is aimed at make overall analysis of Nasserism and new Pan-Islamism. Horizontal comparison is mainly used in different thoughts; analyze its system of theory and content of thought. This is also the main point of the thesis. We may find out the defects of Nasserism by comparison. "Big Egyptism" severely hurt the feeling of Arab countries. The idealism and simplification on the nation's unity brought negative effects on Arab nation's co-operations and relations. Nasserism did not solve the problem of development well after revolution, neither made obvious advances on the democratization of politics and development of economics. New Pan-Islamism emphasized on the Muslim's unity, which obtained many Muslim countries' appreciation. It inherited the ideas of Islam-reformism, matched the needs of social development without changing the traditions, called on Muslim's combinations and dealt with the threats from outer world. New Pan-Islamism got the financial back from the richer Muslim countries. The best superiority of new Pan-Islamism was to get the support from many Muslim countries including governments and people, which became actively social thoughts and movements.
