20C is the most important era in which china has experienced a great transformation from a traditional lifestyle into a modem lifestyle. Chinese people has exhibited on a large scale a significant change with respect to food, clothings ,shelter, transportation styles & entertainments, production & political, consciousness. This transformation change has presented a distinguishing rise and fall in the Northwestern district, due to the area' s geographical and historical characteristics.For the North-west of China , the year of 1930'-1940'was no doubt a special period. With the out burst of Chinese anti-Japanese war and the conduct of developing North -west china project made by the former National government, the North -west district, under the push of the political, economic and cultural changes witnessed a break in its enclosure , a renew of social mentality and a transference in traditional lifestyle from an enclosed one into an open one, from a single one to a plural one . It has made a fatal step into a modem lifestyle.This transformation revealed the positive role a government has played in promoting the whole project and at the same time suggested that internal reformation (factor) formed in modernization process is the very essential stimulator which would lead to the transference from a traditional lifestyle into a modern one.
