Xiao Hong, experienced a lot of hardest things throughout all of her life, which mostlyshowed in her two great novels Field of Life and Death and Hulan River Biography. However,those are never the reason for her to stop thinking and trying, but let her works harder anddoes better. Then Xiao Hong got succeed, depending on her particular perspectives andfeelings, brought a sort of great masterpieces to readers, and made a big contribution toChinese literature. The only thing is so much pity that there was nearly no one to do anyresearch on Xiao Hong’s writings, except LuXun、HuFeng and MaoDun once gave prefacesfor her novels’ publications. Until American Scholar GeHaowen published his book TheBiography of XiaoHong, research on Xiao Hong’s works became popular. And this popularityis till now. A good writer always can bring surprise, no matter in the past time, now or in thefuture. Just like XiaoHong, although she has gone many years, her masterpieces are never tooout-dated to read. As a humanism writer, XiaoHong never stop thinking the real meanings ofhuman’s, and trying her best to find a good way for people to seek their spirit paradise. Thispaper, is mainly about a study on XiaoHong’s novels in humanism perspective, by usingcultural、social and psychological research method, trying to figure out the humanismmeanings of the works. In structure, there are three parts:First of all, finding out the humanism characters of Xiao Hong’s works in humanismperspective. Before the analysis, it is necessary to clear the conception of humanism. Thengive four types who are very representative according to the humanism characters, the kind,the changed, the unnecessary and the blank, specifically. Study these four types people, andfigure out their deep meanings. Secondly, explore the connotation of the humanism spirit inXiaoHong’s novels. In this part, tend to showing people’s rough living conditions in thecourse of pursuing spirit happiness from four point: dream、freedom、philosophy anddemocracy. Finally, study XiaoHong’s humanism narrative style, from woman’s perspective、poet method、particular ways and home memory four aspecs. Gorky once said”Literature isanthropology.” Literature can not stand without anthropology. The writer, only if write aboutpeople, can produce beautiful works. XiaoHong, just used this theory to create novels, so it isvery significant to study on XiaoHong’s novels in this perspective. This paper, credit thepredecessors’ result, using new perspective, to seek the real meanings of XiaoHong’s novels.Hope this paper can provide some contribution in XiaoHong’s research.
