Joy, as one kind of human emotion, is considered as a psychological happy after man gets some demands of body and life by humanism psychologists. In XianQin period of China, joy as the normal need of life was justified by the people cherishing the idea of TianRenHeYi. Confucianism emphasizes the moral meaning of joy for the steady order of social. So joy becomes the contents of LiYue Culture.The artistic idea of Confucianism emphasizes both essence and action of art. ShiJing as the oldest poetry is the primitive art integrating poem, music and dance. The joy of aristocrat existing in Shijing embodies the mainstream of social value idea and aesthetic tendency, both wild and civilized. All kinds of symbolic images for showing the joy form the style of ancient Chinese poem with implication and grace.Confucius systemized the LiYue culture and created the Confucianism. Confucius' Consciousness of Joy embodies in the Analects, recording his words and deeds. Confucius thinks the joy is the highest mental experience of people and differentiates Junzi and Xiaoren from his state of joy and worry in life. Confucius' consciousness of joy originating from life but beyond it possesses the dialectic characters and the spirit of ration. With the development of Confucianism, Confucius is apotheosized and visualized. From Zhanguo period to Han dynasty, many literary tales based Confucius' joy of life shown in the Analects accord with the creating rule of literature and impels the development of literature and the evolvement of style.
