Taste, one of the keywords in Immanuel Kant (1724-1804) Critique of Judgment, has three semantic meanings. The present dissertation purports to focus on: of-sense, of-appreciation and of-sociality. Chapter 1 redefines the crucial concept sense according to Kant philosophy. It is the key to solve a variety of puzzles tangled in the western thinking, and also, it is the key to solve the famous aesthetic antimony: In what sense can judgments of artistic merit, which appear to be about our subjective feelings, be considered objective or factual? Chapter 2 mainly discusses the misunderstanding about Kant theory of the aesthetic judgment rule: disinterested. For Kant, the feeling of pleasure for the perception of a beautiful object does not arise from the satisfaction of a particular interest or desire. Rather, it is a disinterested pleasure derived from the mere contemplation of the object . The paper make detailed and elaborated reasoning to defense Kant theory by defining the concept imagination and sublime . Finally, in the 3 chapter, we focus on fashion in social taste sphere.
