Yu Hua (I960-), the eminent novelist today in China, has shifted distinctly in the narrative style. Unlike other researchers, who pay their attention to the difference, the present dissertation purports to focus on the perpetuated artistic practice in his novel creative, that is, Death Narrative.Paper emphasizes on the aesthetic and metaphysical character expressed in the Death Narrative. Chapter 1 summarizes three causes of the death narrative, that is, the special experience in his childhood, the special experiment of his pre-reading (Franz Kafka, the Jurist novelist, and Yasunari Kawabata, the Japanese great literature master), and the last causes is his to-write-the-heart-reality creative principle. Those tangled together to impel Yu Hua creating vividly. Chapter 2 deals with the problem of dearth in the philosophic aesthetic sphere, and analyzes the aesthetic feature of the Death Narration in his novels. That is, the death noumenal form, the significant imaginative style, and the eminent dispassionate and poetic expression. Finally, in the third chapter, we try to further discuss the deep value of his death narrative in a widen horizon of humanity, history and existence.
