The author holds a view that studying Wang Meng's short stream-of-consciousness novels is very important for the process from the western stream of consciousness to oriental stream of consciousness.Wang Meng became a Chinese famous stream-of-consciousness novelist since he had published The Night's Eye, The Sound of Spring in 1779. The author holds a view that the role of Wang Meng's stream-of-consciousness theories should not be ignored when we study how Chinese writers accept western's and create oriental stream-of-consciousness during New Times (1975-1985).At present the way on studying Wang Meng's short stream-of-consciousness novels is very limited. According to comparative literature's theories, the author states Wang Meng's process of accepting western stream of consciousness, How to create Chinese special stream-of-consciousness. And the influence to Chinese Korean writers.This paper consists of five parts. The first part serves as an introduction to generalize those papers on studying Wang Meng's short stream-of-consciousness, classifies the features of them and points out some unresolved problems. Consequently, the author states significance and purpose of this paper.In the second part the author states the becoming of western stream-of-consciousness novels and Japanese stream-of-consciousness plays an important part in the becoming of oriental stream-of-consciousness, furthermore, the 1930's novels had made a way for the result of Wang Meng's short stream-of-consciousness novels.In the third part through the comparison between western stream-of -consciousness novels and Wang Meng's, the author concludes that Wang Meng had accepted in 6 aspects at western stream-of-consciousness theories. The fourth part deals with Wang Meng's new ideas on western stream- of- consciousness' theories, and the comparison between Wang Meng's stream- of-consciousness' short novels and Chinese Korean writers' novels, then Wang Meng's influence to Chinese Korean literature.Finally the author states Wang Meng's devotion to Chinese Present Age literature and Chinese Korean writers' devotion to Chinese Korean literature. And sum up the feature of oriental stream-of-consciousness.
